JCAHO Standards

UNI strictly adheres to the operational guidelines outlined in the California State Licensing and Certification requirement for Nurse Registries and to those set forth by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospitals.

UNI is committed to provide client hospitals with highly qualified temporary nursing personnel. UNI nurses are screened and evaluated based on JCAHO standards and the client hospitals' needs. Emphasis is placed on the educational, work experience, nursing competencies, credentials, exams and skills inventories, including a review of the job description necessary to work as a supplemental staffing nurse through UNI.

 

Customized Service Agreements

UNI offers flexibility to client hospitals on duration of travel assignments, from a minimum of 4 weeks to 26 weeks, based on client needs. All service agreements are renewable.

Screening and Hiring Process

Minimum Requirements
     • Verified, current, clear active license
     • 1 year of recent acute hospital experience
     • Current CPR/BCLS
     • Current Specialty Certificate
     • With legal rights to work in the USA
     • Completed skills checklist

• Interview & selection process

• Validation of skills

• Quality improvement

• Graduate of accredited college
